Swim Descriptions

Lap Swim Guidelines (reservation not required)
All lap swimmers, regardless of age, should be able to swim continuous laps. To make the best use of our shared pool space, we encourage everyone to choose a lane that matches their pace and ability and to follow basic lap swim etiquette.

  • Lanes 4, 5 & 6 are designated for faster swimmers.
  • Lanes 1, 2 & 3 are intended for leisure and moderate-pace swimmers.
  • The yellow stairs will remain in Lane 1 for those who prefer easier entry or exit.

To keep the experience positive and inclusive for everyone, aquatic staff may occasionally ask swimmers to switch lanes based on traffic and ability levels. Thank you for helping us create a respectful and enjoyable lap swim environment for all.

Family Swim (reservation required):  Open pool for free play (all ages). Family Swim Policy

Children 18 months and under swim free during Family and Open Swims when accompanied by a paying adult.

MS Wellness Aquatic Therapy (pre-register for Aquatic Therapy required)

Our aquatic therapy program is led by licensed specialists in physical therapy with expertise in working with individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). These gentle, supportive sessions use the unique properties of water—such as buoyancy and resistance—to help participants improve mobility, build strength, reduce pain, and enhance overall well-being in a safe and accessible environment.

This program is offered free of charge, but pre-registration is required to ensure appropriate class sizes and individualized support. For eligibility details, session schedules, and additional resources, please visit our MS Wellness Program page.

All swim participants must have a current YWCA Yearly Registration Fee on file. This fee is required for all YWCA programs and services and must be renewed annually.

You can register and purchase passes through our online Rec Desk portal or at the YWCA front desk.
