Nominations for YWCA Women of Achievement Open

YWCA Central Maine is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Women of Achievement Awards, an event that celebrates extraordinary women whose leadership, service, and advocacy strengthen the Lewiston-Auburn community and beyond.

The YWCA Women of Achievement Awards honor individuals who embody the YWCA mission: eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Nominations are open now through October 31, 2025.

“Every day, we are inspired by the stories of women who create lasting change in their workplaces, neighborhoods, and communities,” said Melanie LaMore, Chief Executive Officer of YWCA Central Maine. “The Women of Achievement Awards shine a light on their courage, dedication, and leadership, while reminding us all of the power of women to shape a more just and equitable future.”

Honorees will be recognized at the Women of Achievement Awards Celebration on Sunday, March 8, 2026 (International Women’s Day) in Auburn, Maine.

Community members are encouraged to nominate women who have made a meaningful impact through their careers, volunteer work, or advocacy.
