American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Review with Instructor Will McCorkle

Recertification for those holding CURRENT (non-expired) ARC Lifeguard & CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers certifications. MUST present certification cards at beginning of class to attend.

Includes First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Healthcare Providers. Must have current Lifeguard Manual and pocket mask. Prerequisites include completion of a 300 yard swim, treading water, and timed deep water object removal. All components are valid for 2 years.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, February 13th. Space is limited.
Dates of Training: Tuesday February 18th and Wednesday February 19th
Cost of Training: $210
Cancellation Policy: All fees will be refunded if cancelled by the YWCA. We will refund all costs less a $50.00 administrative fee if you cancel 2 weeks prior to the course. If you do not pass the prerequisites, you will be offered the next available course. There will be no refund if you do not pass the prerequisites or drop out during the course.

YWCA Central Maine Lifeguard Training – January 2020

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training – Blended Learning
Spend less time in the classroom, more time in the pool!

Our new Blended Learning Lifeguard Training format allows participants (15 years of age and older) to become a certified lifeguard, just in time for spring employment! Participants will spend 10-12 hours working at their own pace online, then come in and demonstrate all skills learned for prevention and rescue of swimmers, including providing the emergency skills of first aid and CPR.

Prerequisites include completion of a 300 yard swim, treading water, and timed deep water object removal. All components are valid for 2 years. Must be 15 years of age or older.

Course Dates: January 18, 19, 20 (Martin Luther King Jr. Monday) from 9:00a-5:00pm. Deadline for registration is January 5th, 2020.

Cost: $350.00
