Request for Bids

YWCA Central Maine will be accepting bids from contractors for classroom heating and cooling HVAC installation at the facility located at 130 East Avenue in Lewiston, Maine. Proposals will be accepted by Amanda Hatch, Director of Programs & Mission Impact, until May 15th, 2022.

The contract work shall be between the YWCA Central Maine (Owner) and the HVAC contractor (Contractor). All bids are subject to the review and approval by the Owner. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept bids in any order or combination, make modifications to the work after bidding, and waive any informalities or irregularities in bids if it is deemed in the Owner’s best interest to do so.

The contract award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The YWCA will consider all factors which it, in its sole discretion, deem to be in the best interest of the YWCA. While price is important, past experience and ability to schedule work timely are also important considerations.

By making this bid, represents that the Contractor has visited the site and has familiarized themselves with the conditions under which the Work is to be performed and this bid is based upon the materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete the scope of work. The Contractor includes payments for hourly labor at or above the Davis-Bacon wage rates, including posting the prevailing wage rates and wage rate reporting per Davis-Bacon requirements.
